In response to the rapidly intensifying Hurricane Helene, The Luc Cochran Foundation will be temporarily closing all offices statewide as a precautionary safety measure. This includes both local and international locations. Offices will be closed Thursday, September 26th and Friday, September 27th, with a planned reopening on Monday, September 30th, pending any further developments.
Key details of the closure are as follows:
Non-Essential Personnel: All non-essential employees are excused from duties during this period. We encourage you to prioritize your safety and adhere to all local evacuation or safety guidelines.
Student Activities: All scheduled student programs, including tutoring sessions, mentorship programs, and other related activities, will be rescheduled. This decision is made to protect the well-being of our students, staff, and volunteers. We will communicate the new dates and times for these programs as soon as it is safe to do so.
Emergency Contact: Should any urgent matters arise during this closure, please contact us via email at emergency@theluccochranfoundation.org or by phone at 770-678-1667 ext. 3 (administrative offices). We will have limited capacity for responding to emergencies during the storm.
Safety Reminder: We strongly urge all members of our community to remain vigilant and follow guidance from local authorities and emergency services. Your safety is of utmost importance to us.
We understand the challenges this disruption may cause and appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this situation. Please stay safe, and we will provide further updates as necessary.
Thank you for your attention and stay safe.
Sincerely,The Luc Cochran Foundation Team
